Chronic Stress part 2 for first responders, I bet you haven’t heard of this yet..

If you could pick a word/ phrase to describe the past two years as a first responder, what would it be?

Mine, Burnout

I did my fair share of beating myself up about it too

That I didn’t handle the stress like I “should” have ..

I knew better
But I didn’t I do better
I rode the struggle bus 🚌 until even that broke down! 🤦🏻‍♀️

What I eventually discovered was

It wasn’t a reflection of my character

It was STRESS
A lot of it
For a long time
It had caught up with me…

Newsflash 💥

Stress has REAL consequences that deeply effect our physiology and psychology

How deep exactly ?
We are talking the foundation here

You may have heard of “Adrenal Fatigue”

While the symptoms are Real that term
Is not accurate,
your adrenals don’t get tired 😴 they are not intelligent on their own

BUT

The system that directs them however, can become dysregulated

HPAD or Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenal Axis Dysfunction
See below to learn more about this and the consequences

It can be a lot to put together through some IG posts so..

I am excited to announce I will be hosting a FREE webinar in Jan of 2022
